A few favorites from the smoker, cooked fresh every day over hickory, pecan, and peach wood.

NC Chopped Pork

Pork shoulder smoked low and slow for 12 hours, chopped, and finished with our vinegar sauce.

Smoked for 15 hours with a cracked-pepper bark. Lean, fatty, or a little of both.

Dry-rubbed full spare ribs, smoked until they pull clean off the bone.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  Can’t say we are usually big BBQ fans, but I had a gift card and grabbed a few things one night. My husband has repeatedly talked about how good the turkey is (“we’re getting that for Thanksgiving, right?” lol).

Not to mention Sweet Lou is super generous, always giving back to the community and offering to support the local schools.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  Honestly, I believe this is the best barbecue place in Charlotte. The generous portions are a plus, but what truly sets them apart are their sauces and the pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. Surprisingly, my personal favorite was the half chicken. The banana pudding as dessert was also delicious. Unlike most barbecue joints that offer overly sweet bbq, this place offers something unique and great.
